Photographs of Old Things

1920s Deco Bloodstone Signet Ring, 14K White Gold Filigree(in the online store)
I always like bloodstone.  In most signet rings it reads as onyx, but in bright light the little red flecks jump out. And it’s thought to have healing properties.  In fact it’s sometimes ground into a powder and ingested as a remedy.  I once bought a bloodstone ring from an older lady in Illinois who claimed that every ache and aliment was easily resolved by wearing bloodstone jewelry.  I’m not so sure, but it’s a pretty stone.
