Photographs of Old Things

We’re open 11am to 2pm tomorrow, and then we’ll be closed until January 4th.  The store is sort of cleaned out, especially of jewelry.  But some good things still remain.
This is my 6th December in the shop, and every year it’s interesting to see what things don’t find a home for the holiday.  Some things (like the bizarro glass sculpture above) just aren’t the kind of things that people buy for other people.  Or possibly that people buy at all.  But in general, I’m always happy with the leftovers.  It’s like a self-curating collection of things too risky, odd, and expensive to be gifts.
