1930s 0.65ct European Cut Diamond (H-I/VS2) Cluster Ring0.29ctw Single Cut Diamonds, Platinum, 14K Yellow Gold (sold)
This one’s a beauty, and similar in style to one of my all time favorite cluster rings.  But this wasn’t a cluster ring when I found it.  Originally it had a pearl in the center, and a single row of diamonds around it like a halo.  Lovely as it was, it wasn’t particularly wearable, and the pearl was a replacement. So thinking about that one we had back in August, I had our jeweler add an additional row of period single cut diamonds inside, and a 0.65ct European cut diamond in the center. And voilà, a perfect cluster ring.
